I know that we have lots of these guides already, but I haven't made one myself. I figured we all have different, but still good, strategies. In this guide I will show you the quick way to get to main, and the best way to get to main. To make this guide easier to segregate, I will use colors. Red for the Quick Main guide and Green for my Best main guide.
The Quick way to Main

Background: This guide is best for those who already have someone to help them once they are on mainland. This guide could probably get you to main your first day playing. Although I don't really recommend using it, I'll still post it for those who like to get things done quickly. This guide will make you have much trouble getting to the best part of Main unless you have a good friend of higher level.

The Guide

Character Selection: Three main starter classes of the game.
-The Fighter, Starts with a dagger, decent fighting skill levels, and a useless spell.
-The Ranger, Starts with a dagger, low fighting skills, decent archery level, and a very good offensive skill.
-The mage, Starts with a wooden staff, low fighting skills, a good spell for solo training(Heal)

For this I should probably suggest a Fighter or a Ranger, but I won't. I would select a mage because you are going to be quite poor and pretty much armorless until you get to main. Blue crystals for the heal spell are quite cheap and you will need to heal often with the rigorous training. Orcs will hit about 6-10 on you without armor.

Tutorial Island: Pretty straight forward. You learn the basics of the game and the skills and such. Make sure you know how to broadcast to ask questions if you need them. Anyway, Done with this.

Alon: First thing you should do is head west a few maps until you get to a grassy area with some slimes. You should kill them for a few minutes(10 perhaps, or less) until you can get about 100 gold. If you take brutal beatings from the slime, just move back a map and let Wenslas heal you. Once you have that, you're gonna go work on the one skill you'll need for getting to main, Fishing. North of the map when you first entered Alon is the Fish "Lake" or whatever it is. Just fish here for about 40-60 minutes untill you get level 100 and about 100 squid. You should probably get more, but since this is the quick and easy guide, I will tell you a faster way instead. Now head into the hut and sell all your fish except the squid to the NPC. You'll want to cook those since it gives the most money. By the time you sell all this, I assume you'll have about 1500 gold. If you don't have 25-27 HP, go back to the slime spot and kill some slimes until you get 25-27 HP. It's now your time to leave alon for a while.

Oval Island: Oval Island is where the stronger monsters of Noob island are. Set your spawn point here, you'll spend most of your time here. It's probably the best place to train as well. First thing you should do is avoid contact with enemies. From the Magic shop, head east until you reach the Weapon shop. All you need to purchase is a long sword. Run back to the first map with orcs on it and start getting some kills. I forgot to mention that the best time to train is during the day, Imps give horrible EXP for the time it takes to kill one. If you have trouble killing orcs and you die often, head back to Alon and try and fish yourself about 500 gold. You can purchase the full leather armor set, and a few blue crystals for your heal spell. Stay here until you make your HP about 51.

The Quest(The Return to Alon): If you noticed while killing Orcs, they dropped orc meat. This is a crucial item to getting to main. You should have collected at least 30 while raising your HP. When you're finished there, head back to Alon. Go to the fishing hut and cook that meat. If you're lucky, you'll cook yourself an orc burger or two. You can probably sell them from 500-1000 gold if you want.(Or buy, if you aren't that lucky) Once you have the burger, head towards the east exit of Alon. Walk out and head straight down until you are able to head left. Just head northwest until you reach a cave.

The Cave: There's an old man in here named Jacob. I'll spare you the detail on his story. Give him an orc burger and be prepared to fight a boss.

Boss: Elf, High defense, high attack, high HP
Strategy: Attack the Elf, Run away, Refill White SP bar. Repeat. Heal if necessary.
The Elf should drop an Herb 100% of the time.

The Castle: Leave there and head back to town. East of the spawn point is the Alchemy shop. From that shop, Head straight south until you reach this castle.

It's pretty basic from here. You give the herb to the man, you get the password. You go to the ferry. You go to main.
Conclusion: Once again, I'll remind you that this isn't a very good guide to go by if this is your first character. You'll have a low score and a tough time on main.

The Helpful guide to a powerful character on main

Character Selection:
Any character is a good selection for score. Some are better than others. Fighters start with an overall higher score, while rangers start with the lowest. Rangers and Mages start with helpful skills, but Fighters don't. I personally started with a ranger. Rangers start with the fireball skill, which is very useful and is more expensive than the other 2 beginner skills.

Tutorial: Covered above.

Just fish here for about 40-60 minutes untill you get level 100. Don't worry too much about leveling HP or anything for a while. Skills are important. After you get as much squid as you possibly can, spend about an hour or so just cooking them. You should probably get at least level 30-50 from about 200 squid. I suggest you stay here until you get 100 cooking. By the time you get 100 cooking, you'll have enough money to buy most of what you need on noob(Chain set, Long sword).

Skills list:Instead of an In-depth finish to this guide, I'll give you a list of skills you should do first.
-Fishing(Covered)
-Cooking(Covered)
-Mining
-Parry/Block/HP to 60
-Lumberjacking
-Smithing(If you think you can do it)
-Alchemy

Mining: People think it's hard, but it's actually the easiest skill to level besides fishing.
Parry/Block: These will get leveled up as long as you are just training your HP.
Lumberjacking: A little more time-consuming than cooking. Save all your logs from LJ. You'll need them on main. (For Carpentry)
Smithing: The hardest skill to level up. Raw ore is rare, Smithing levels are rare.
Alchemy: A little boring and time consuming. Also one of the most expensive skills to master. Do it on noob(Or at least buy the sand on noob) because Blue sand is cheaper than Red and Green.

If you do all this on Noob, You should have at least 800 points before leaving to main.

It's a short guide, but most of things you needed to know were in the first.
