I prefer the Harry Potter books over the LoTR books, mainly because Tolkien paints a beautiful picture with his words, but doesn't do a dang thing with them. On the other hand Rowling keeps the stories neat and clean with just enough detail to make it interesiting.

Though I will admit the movies are exact opposite. Though I liked Harry Potter at first, the books are becoming too thick to fit in a 2-3 hour movie without butchering the story. The LoTR movies were awesome in comparison, though yes a little slow in the scenes where they do nothing but walking, the story carried well and the action was well placed.

i would have to say that i was more into lotr because there was sword fighting and killin...as u can kinda tell im more into physical stuff then magical

I'd have to say I like the harry potter books more and the lotr movies more. The lotr series is just too painfully long for me ;[ And I like the harry potter movies but dan R is such an idiot. All in all, it's got to be lotr. Better plot, better soundtrack, better graphics. It just suits my taste more.

I've never played any of thh lotr games though, but I have played the harry potter ones.....too easy ;D
