Posts: 1,211 | The Poll Thread This thread is just going to be edited to discuss weekly polls. Some may be Hibernia related, and some may be just spam. Go ahead and discuss your vote, but please, stay on topic. I'll post weekly to inform you on the new poll. If you want to vote on something that's not on the poll, vote for the next best choice and discuss the "Other" that wasn't listed. I.E More quests for this first poll. The first poll is going to be Hibernia Related. The Staff wants to know what you'd like to see more of in the game. What new things would you really like to see more of in Hibernia? I voted for more skills. I think there are plenty of old ideas lying around the suggestions archive that King could easily put to use. For example, someone mentioned earlier about making Campfires. With a few sprites for equipment, that could easily become a reality of a whole skill just by itself. It might seem a bit tedious, but at least it's be something to start while performing something else that's tedious. | | | | 11-04-2007 | #2 (permalink) | | 1337 Admin Dude King is offline Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 495 | Just gimmah the sprites and Ill do it what I can with them. I'd personally like to expand upon the cooking skill making it a bit more interactive or at least add some new items to it. __________________ If you think it might be a bug please post about it in the bugs section on the forums! I was thinking of like.....Combining tools with food(Like a skewer and meat) to prepare food as another way of leveling up cooking. | | | | | | | 11-05-2007 | #4 (permalink) | | Head noob, I mean officer LoneWolf is offline Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: In your walls... Edit: Also, it'd be pretty cool if we had that rebuild malph idea used for a quest, if you donate 1000 logs or 300 metals or something to the mayor of malphoria, then you get some cool looking helmet or something | | | | | | | 11-05-2007 | #5 (permalink) | | 1337 Admin Dude King is offline Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 495 | Quote: Originally Posted by LoneWolf water + flour = dough dough + stove = bread bread + fish = fish sandwich bread + slime goo = slime goo sandwich bread + orc meat = orc burger bread + fire = toast maybe we can get random animals like turkey, snakes, rats, and bears and make their skins and meats valuable if the right skills are used and it'd be cool to have a options when cooking, like making a slime sandwich will take longer, but you will get more money then just making a slime suf-lay fishing shouldn't be primarily squid either, it should have all kinds of fish coming up, like... randomized, when you get to 20, you can catch a new kind of fish, but as the level gets closer to 40 or whatever, you have a higher chance of catching the more expensive one, like you can catch all kinds of fish at 80, but you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting squid, but once it's 90, you have a 5 in 10, and at 100, you have a 8 in 10 chance.... also for fishing, different regions should have different fish if possible, like ocean waters should have squid, and regular rivers or lakes or whatever should have carp and bass, and desserts should have crabs or some ******** like that smithing should have a table, but the option to have something random, if you make the random item, you have a small chance of screwing up, but if you pick an item, the chance of screwing up is like doubled lumberjacking should have more than one type of tree, better trees give better wood, better wood means you have a higher chance of actually making something when doing carpentry alchemy could combine with farming, where you crush up flowers to make potions, making farming more useful, and the land should reset to untiled every game day or something like that skinning and tailoring could have more types of animals to skin and make stuff out of, but a required level to skin and make certain animal types cow = generic leather items wolf = wolf items bear = bear armor and some sort of improved speed bracers or some ******** you could have a seperate armor class and make the classes actually important, like warriors can wear any armor, mages can wear robes and leather, rangers can wear mail once they have over 1000 points or something like that thats all i got for now, maybe at the casino you could make an arcade so you can play some little games or whatever, like snake, and pong, and that game king made at that computer camp last year or whatever... It's ok to have a few that you need to work for but putting a password for every new town that releases is just ridiculous... | | | | 11-06-2007 | #8 (permalink) | | 1337 Admin Dude King is offline Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 495 | Quote: Originally Posted by Muhen Yeah, not all new towns should require a password, it seems like that's what's happening though. Also I have been going over the CTF/Monster-Hunt code, trying to find and possible bugs and fix them. They should be stable enough soon that Tsu can run the events without me being around to have to restore someone if it breaks. __________________ If you think it might be a bug please post about it in the bugs section on the forums!
