This requires a number of attacks dependant on your farming level. You can then plant seeds on the tilled land. The resulting crops start out with an insufficient supply of water-equip a watering can, stand in front of the seeds, and use the "Attack" command to water the ground in front of you. This process may take some few seconds depending on your smithing level. If successful, the ore will become a metal. If not, the raw ore is taken out of your inventory. Metals can be smithed into equipment by selecting "Smith" from the items' options. A hard hammer must be equipped, and you must be in front of an anvil. Various pieces of weapons and armor will be randomly smithed; more become available as you level up in Smithing. If you ruin the metal, it will be taken out of your inventory. Level up smithing by forming raw ores and smithing metals.
